Men Longing + Yearning > Men Lusting

I posted a Thread the other day that sparked an important conversation...

Can you feel the difference between Longing + Yearning versus Lusting? 🌹

As a [formerly] VERY lusty woman who attracted equally lusty, promiscuous men as my mirror, I'm SO grateful for that era.

It taught me the difference between:

🔥DESIRE and DEVOTION.🔥

I had to go thru the FULL-SPECTRUM, embodied experience to learn.

It was painful.

And it was liberating.

You can be erotically empowered without being energetically leaky.

🚩Sexual energy that's misdirected + misused is extremely depleting on both sides.

💎Sexual energy that's heart-centered + used intentionally can literally raise your consciousness + transmute pain into power.

I went thru a rough decade of chasing + externalizing intimacy for validation, being unconsciously driven by my own selfish wants + primal (unharnessed, immature) sexual energy 👉 to a decade of solitude + abstinence - decentering men (for my own healing - not for the long-term) + prioritizing a daily spiritual practice (pouring ALL that love + raw, erotic life-force into a devotional path for an extended period, no distractions) to FEEL (not "think") into the difference for myself.

And now…the men are waking up, too. ✨

Over the last two years, 85% of my private clients have been men - all of them over 45 yrs old.

Something profound is shifting.

So many of us are craving heart-centered, erotic, devotional love - not just fleeting passion, but:

❤️‍🔥Reciprocal intimate exchange that's heart-opening + deepens (not weakens) over time.

❤️‍🔥Mutual connection that's nourishing, energizing + energetically clean/clear for both parties.

❤️‍🔥An intimate bond that creates an alchemy that burns away what isn't true + what isn't love.

❤️‍🔥Loving connection that's passionate AND brings you closer to the Divine. 🪽

Yes, it exists - but you do have to create the karma for it.

What I'll say is:

THE FIRE OF DEVOTION REFINES YOU. 🔥

It requires you to be fully seen, open to correction, responsible for your side of things (your own karma) + flexible enough to be in the extreme discomfort of transformation without avoidance, running away or sabotaging things completely. Devotion means sitting in the flames (+ letting your fear, insecurities + ego fry 😂).

In Buddhism, ignorant desire (one of the Three Poisons) causes suffering.

But desire used consciously - with correct spiritual view - becomes the cause for liberation.

The key here is to know the difference.

I'm talking the subtle difference between hunger + sacred longing or between reaching for someone to fill a void versus reaching because love wants to express itself through you as the vessel.

A great reflection to ponder if love is on your mind.
